I have been teaching for 30 years. I grew up in Sturgis, Michigan, graduated from Central Michigan, first started teaching in the Upper Peninsula and then moved to Glenrock, Wyoming in 1979 where I taught for seven and half years. I came to Coopersville in 1986.  I have taught American Government, American History, Psychology, Sociology, Introduction to Teaching and Economics. I currently teach the American Government and Psychology. I've been married for 31 years and have 2 sons who both live in Chicago. When not in the classroom I like to read, garden and my passion is sailing.
