Mrs. Osterhart graduated from Ferris State University in 2006 and received a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education with minors in language arts and social studies. She will receive her Master of Arts in Education degree from Northern Michigan University in 2012 as a reading specialist. She has been employed at CAPS since 2006 and is currently teaching sixth grade language arts.
It is her philosophy that the teacher’s role in education is to strive for success in all children. Teaching should be approached by using best practices that students will find useful, enjoyable, and applicable. By relating academics to the real world, students will recognize the importance and value of knowledge in their lives. When students are well prepared and approach learning with optimism, the adventurous terrain of academics will be a life changing exploration!
