Greetings!  I am Miss Sarah Bis, the art teacher for 6th, 7th and 8th grade students at Coopersville Middle School.  I began teaching at Coopersville in 2010 and taught with Grand Rapids Public Schools for six years prior to coming here.  There I learned a great deal about diversity, classroom management, creativity and collaboration.  Today I am very proud and honored to be a part of the CAPS team.  We have a wonderful art program that I believe allows all students to express themselves, find personal success and satisfaction through a wide variety of activities.

I am a graduate of Grand Valley State University where I received my degree in Art Education.  I have completed courses in areas including 2-Dimensional Art, 3-D Art, Ceramics, Painting, Drawing I & II, and a variety of Art History Courses.  I am also certified to teach Psychology and am currently in pursuit of my Master's Degree for School Counseling.
