I began teaching in the Coopersville district in 2001-2010, and I have taught at both the middle school and high school levels.  I am currently teaching science at Coopersville Middle School.  I have also enjoyed coaching track and field and Science Olympiad.  I love engaging students in science because of all the hands-on type of things we can do.

I earned my BS in Geology/Chemistry from GVSU and a MS in Environmental Geoscience from MSU.  Later, when I decided to teach, I earned a MS in Secondary Education from GVSU.

My wife and I have three children.  I enjoy traveling Michigan and local states while camping, hiking and rock/mineral collecting with my family and friends.  My favorite hobby, when time permits, is collecting/restoring classic corvettes.
