The music program at CAPS is striving to develop an appreciation of music and active instruction / participation in grades K-12.  Elementary classes receive instruction in basic rhythmic structure, pitch and melody recognition, music writing and performance.  Band, choir and recorder ensembles are available at the upper elementary level.  Middle School instruction includes 6th, 7th, and 8th grade band and choir opportunities, solo and ensemble groups, and an annual Middle School Musical stage production.   High School  offerings include Marching Band, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Pep Band,  Women's Choir, Varsity Voices, and Show Choir.  Piano Class and an annual High School Musical are also available to CAPS students.  Our ensembles perform a wide variety of musical styles at concerts in our state-of -the art Performing Arts Center and at other venues.
