Michigan Migrant Education Program (MiMEP)

The Michigan Migrant Education Program (MiMEP) is a federally funded U.S. program designed to support the unique educational needs of youth whose families move frequently for work in the agricultural and fishing industries. The primary purpose of MiMEP is to provide targeted services to migratory students in order to promote educational continuity despite frequent relocations.

In addition, MiMEP conducts identification and recruitment activities to ensure that all eligible students are accurately identified and receive appropriate support services.
