English Learner & Migrant Support

English Language Learners (ELL/ESL)

Coopersville Area Public Schools works to identify and support students whose home language is something other than English. If your child lives within CAPS boundaries and is not currently enrolled in our ELL/ESL Program, we invite you to share their information so we can help determine appropriate support.

Migrant Education Program

The Migrant Education Program provides educational and support services for children and youth whose families move for temporary or seasonal work in the agriculture or fishing industry.

Children may qualify if their families have moved within the past 36 months for agricultural or fishing-related employment. Priority is given to students who are not meeting grade-level academic standards and whose education has been interrupted during the regular school year.

The program also supports identification and recruitment activities to ensure eligible students receive services.
