In-District Enrollment
If you live within the Coopersville Area Public Schools district, you can complete your student’s enrollment online in just a few easy steps. If your child already attends CAPS and will continue attending CAPS, you do not need to complete a new enrollment.
Once you begin a new enrollment, you will have the opportunity to upload the following documents: proof of residency, a certified birth certificate, an up-to-date immunization record or valid waiver, and your student’s current IEP (if applicable).
After submitting the District Online Enrollment, CAPS staff will follow up with next steps or contact you if additional information is needed.
Note: Preschool and Kindergarten students have a few additional requirements. Please see the sections below for more information.
Kindergarten & Young Fives
Starting Elementary School is a big milestone and we’re excited to welcome your little learner!
Children must be 5 years old by September 1 to enroll in Kindergarten.
If your child turns 5 between September 2 and December 1, a readiness screening helps determine whether Kindergarten, Young Fives, or Preschool is the best fit.
Additional Requirements
- Health Appraisal (completed by a physician)
- Hearing & Vision Screening
- Dental Screening
Additional Notes
If your child already attends CAPS (such as WECC Preschool or Young Fives), you do not need to re-enroll. You will only be asked to update documents as needed.
