Brenda Andrews has been honored with a Certificate of Achievement from the Michigan Department of Education’s School Nutrition Programs in recognition of 25 years of service as a school nutrition professional.

This recognition highlights more than time served. It reflects a career spent supporting students in one of the most essential ways—making sure they are fed, cared for, and ready to learn each day. School nutrition professionals play a critical role in the daily rhythm of a school, helping create a welcoming environment where students feel supported beyond the classroom.

The Michigan Department of Education’s School Nutrition Programs recognizes individuals who demonstrate long-term commitment to student well-being through food service, safety, and consistency in school meal programs. Brenda’s 25 years represent a sustained impact on generations of Broncos who have walked through our cafeterias.

Her work is part of a larger effort across CAPS, where our food service team shows up every day to serve students with care, professionalism, and pride. From early mornings to busy lunch periods, their work often happens behind the scenes—but its impact is seen and felt in every building.
